DISABLED SERVICE
It is important to us that disabled people and people with reduced mobility have free and easy access to the facilities at Sønderborg Airport.
The airport therefore complies with the requirements of EU Regulation No. 1107. The regulation entered into force in July 2008 and ensures that passengers with disabilities have the same rights on flights as all other passengers.
PARKING SPACES
Sønderborg Airport has established special disabled parking spaces close to the terminal entrance.
The disabled parking spaces are designated as a meeting/pick-up location, so it is easy to get in and out. If you or a family member needs assistance, you can contact airport staff on tel.:+45 74 42 21 30.
The telephone number also appears on signs in the car parks.
TERMINAL BUILDING
Getting to the airport terminal is easy.
The sliding glass doors remain open as travellers approach, to ensure that even slow-moving people or wheelchair users can use the main entrance unhindered.
The airport also has easily accessible toilets, which are specially designed for wheelchair users.
We also make wheelchairs available for our travellers.
TRANSPORTATION UP AND DOWN
The airport has special lifting equipment. There are always staff present who are specially trained in helping disabled and mobility impaired passengers.
You can request assistance at the same time that you book your ticket. If you did not request assistance when you booked your ticket, please contact Alsie Express no later than 48 hours before departure.
SECURITY
Disabled passengers and passengers with limited mobility must, like all other travellers, go through security checks. Security staff have ongoing training in carrying out security checks in such a way that takes into account both passengers and flight safety.
