At Sønderborg Airport, we have set ambitious goals. We aim to become Southern Jutland’s swiftest gateway to the rest of the world while fostering a deeply integrated green transition.

Over the next four years, we are investing DKK 212 million in an extensive renovation and modernization of Sønderborg Airport. This represents the most significant investment in a Danish domestic airport in recent times.

The objective of the Master Plan for Sønderborg Airport is to attract additional operators and enhance travel conditions. The initial phase of the plan includes the construction of a new terminal building, alongside a comprehensive modernization of existing facilities. With sustainability as a guiding principle, demolition, reconstruction, and new construction will support both the Sønderborg area’s ambition to be CO2 neutral by 2029 and a broader green transition in Danish aviation.

Through this development, we are ensuring business travelers fast, convenient, and efficient access to the world, while offering charter travelers a wide range of destinations across Europe.

We anticipate presenting the airport of the future, with a new dimension of travel facilities, in 2027.
